Creating and Managing a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) in Battleground

The objective of this SOP is to guide you through the process of creating and managing a new Business Impact Analysis (BIA) in Battleground effectively.

Key Steps:

  1. Accessing BIAs:
    • Log in to Battleground.
    • Click on "BIA" on the left panel.
    • Select "New/All BIAs" to view the list of existing BIAs or use the search bar for quick access.
  2. Deleting or Archiving a BIA:
    • To delete a BIA, click on the grey circle next to the BIA title.
    • A confirmation window will appear, click "Delete" to confirm.
    • Alternatively, you can archive the BIA or export it to an Excel file for offline use.
  3. Adding a New BIA:
    • Click on the green "+" new BIA button in the top right corner.
    • Enter the relevant details such as title, BIA owner (existing user), geography, business unit, and department.
    • Save and close the information entered.
  4. Completing Required Fields:
    • The only required field in this section is the title.
    • Ensure all other fields are filled in accurately.

Cautionary Notes

  • Be cautious when deleting a BIA as this action is irreversible.
  • Double-check all entered information to avoid inaccuracies in the BIA details.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Utilise the search bar to quickly locate specific BIAs.
  • Regularly update and review BIAs to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Familiarise yourself with adding new users, geographies, business units, and departments for efficient BIA creation.
