Adding New Key Process in BIA

To add a new key process in BIA (Business Impact Analysis) for effective management.

Key Steps:

  1. Go to Key Processes in your BIA system.
  2. Click on "Add New Key Process".
  3. Enter the process name or process summary, including the employee name.
  4. Add or create a new user if needed and assign them as the process owner.
  5. Specify if the process is performed by an internal or external party.
  6. Select the key process location from the dropdown or create a new location with the title and address.
  7. Save the new location for the BIA.
  8. Link the key process to any critical operations and sub-operations.
  9. Attach any relevant files or hyperlinks (up to 100 MB).
  10. Press "Save and Close".

Cautionary Notes:

  • Ensure all information entered is accurate to avoid errors in the key process.
  • Double-check the process owner and location details before saving.

Tips for Efficiency:

  • Utilise the copy and move feature to easily transfer key processes between different BIAs.
  • Keep attachments organised and relevant to the key process for easy reference.
