Adding New Key Process in BIA
To add a new key process in BIA (Business Impact Analysis) for effective management.
Key Steps:
- Go to Key Processes in your BIA system.
- Click on "Add New Key Process".
- Enter the process name or process summary, including the employee name.
- Add or create a new user if needed and assign them as the process owner.
- Specify if the process is performed by an internal or external party.
- Select the key process location from the dropdown or create a new location with the title and address.
- Save the new location for the BIA.
- Link the key process to any critical operations and sub-operations.
- Attach any relevant files or hyperlinks (up to 100 MB).
- Press "Save and Close".
Cautionary Notes:
- Ensure all information entered is accurate to avoid errors in the key process.
- Double-check the process owner and location details before saving.
Tips for Efficiency:
- Utilise the copy and move feature to easily transfer key processes between different BIAs.
- Keep attachments organised and relevant to the key process for easy reference.
