How do you complete a risk assessment?

To complete a risk assessment, enter the assessor details and date, select the assessment method, evaluate controls and consequences, fill in residual and inherent assessment fields with rationale, then click Save and Close. The steps below walk through each stage in order.

1. Enter the name of the person conducting the risk assessment and the assessment date (click Today to use the current date).
2. Select the appropriate assessment method (e.g., residual assessment method).
3. Review and confirm the controls added in the manage section.
4. Evaluate the control effectiveness and provide commentary.
5. Analyse the consequence table based on the inputs provided.
6. Note the consequence category, residual consequence, and residual loss.
7. Fill in the residual assessments, considering factors like likelihood and severity.
8. Add a rationale for the residual assessment.
9. Input data for inherent consequence table and category, inherent likelihood, assessment, and rationale if necessary.
10. Review the control section and residual section for accuracy.
11. Click on "Save and Close" to save the assessment and move on to the next section.
