Creating and Managing Controls in Battleground Live

The objective of this SOP is to guide team members on how to view existing controls and add new controls in Battleground Live. This process aims to map controls to relevant risks and processes, enhancing the visibility of control effectiveness.

Key Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Controls section in the left panel and access the "All Controls" tab.
  2. Review existing controls, including control name, status, and owner.
  3. Use the filters in the Risks section to customise the data view based on specific criteria.
  4. To create a new control:
    • Click on "Plus New Control" in the Controls page.
    • Enter the control name, owner, and specify if it's automated or manual.
    • Define the control method and objective.
    • Optionally, generate a description using Radar AI or write one manually.

Cautionary Notes:

  • Ensure that new controls are accurately linked to relevant risks to maintain data integrity.
  • Double-check all entered information to avoid errors in control creation and management.

Tips for Efficiency:

  • Utilise the filter options in the Risks section to quickly find and link controls to specific risks.
  • Use Radar AI for generating control descriptions to save time and ensure consistency in documentation.
