Prioritising Control in System Evaluation
The objective of this SOP is to guide team members on how to prioritise control in system evaluation by selecting the evaluation frequency, performer, last updated date, control classification, and assurance requirement.
This article explains how to configure the scheduling and classification settings for a control, including evaluation frequency, performer assignment, classification type, and assurance requirements.
Key Steps:
- Select the evaluation frequency for the control.
- Specify who will perform the control (user added in the system).
- Click the date field to enter when the control was last evaluated. You can also select Today to automatically use the current date.
- Determine whether the Control classification is key or non-key.
- Decide if assurance is required for the control.
Cautionary Notes:
- Ensure that the evaluation frequency is set according to the importance and risk level of the control.
- Double-check the performer assigned to the control to avoid confusion or errors in execution.
- Accurately update the last updated date to maintain a clear record of control evaluations.
Tips for Efficiency:
- Refer to the Adding Users guide if you need to add new users to the system.
- Regularly review and update control classifications to align with organisational priorities.
- Use automated reminders or notifications for control evaluations to stay on track with your schedule.
