Control Evaluation Process

The objective of this SOP is to guide team members on how to evaluate controls effectively.

Key Steps:

  1. Add a new action plan following the action plan guide.
  2. Sort by different columns as needed.
  3. Answer relevant control design objectives by ticking yes or no.
  4. Provide an overall assessment as good, marginal, or poor with commentary.
  5. Evaluate the control operation and provide an overall assessment.
  6. Include operation evidence and attachments.
  7. Specify who evaluated the control and who it was reported to.
  8. Enter the date of evaluation and additional commentary.
  9. Click save and close.

  • Ensure that all control design objectives are thoroughly assessed.
  • Provide clear and concise commentary to support assessments.
  • Double-check all entries before saving and closing.
